TOPs (Trainer Optional Program) Frequently Asked Questions
1. Can I sign up any 3 members in my first 18 days and receive a Triple Advance Commission?
All three new memberships must be Dental Plus memberships and you must be paid "advanced" commissions on all three to be eligible for the Triple Advance Commission. If you need to change your commission status to "advances", you may go to your IBO Support site and make the change. You may change your commissions back to "as-earned" at any time after you receive the 6-month advances on the 3 new Dental Plus plans.
2. When do I get paid my Triple Advance Commission?
After the full 18 day period is completed, AmeriPlan will look to see if you have three new active Dental Plus memberships signed up and that you were paid advances on all three. If that is the case, AmeriPlan will immediately pay out the remaining 12-month advances ($71.88 each) on all three plans since you have already received the 6-month advances ($35.94 each) at the time of sign up.
3. When do I get paid my Member Acquisition Bonus or my Quick Start Bonus?
Every week at the close of business Friday, we look to see who promoted to Certified Trainer (CT) for the previous week and compile them in a list. For the next week, the "Earn Week", we make sure the initial fees of the 3 members each CT signed up have cleared their banks. The following Monday, AmeriPlan will cut the checks for the QSB and MABs earned for those CTs.
4. I have signed up a new $495 IBO. Why do I not receive a $90 advance?
A new $495 IBO receives 3 free months of the $50/month IBO Benefits fees. Since we do not draft the new IBO any fees for the first 6 months, we cannot advance commissions but will pay the sponsoring IBO "as-earned" ($15) for the initial month. Once the 5 free month period is concluded, we will resume paying "as-earned" ($15) on the $50/month IBO Benefits fees.
5. I signed up a $95 IBO and it shows there is a 4-day hold on my $90 IBO advance. Is this due to the TOP program?
Any new IBO has a 72-hour "window" to sign up for the $400 optional TOP package and receive 5 free months of IBO Benefits fees. AmeriPlan will hold the $90 advance check until the 72-hour period is over to make sure we do not give a $90 advance on a new IBO that receives 3 free months of IBO Benefits fees.
6. Is there any disadvantage for a "Sponsoring IBO" not to talk about the $400 optional TOP program to a prospect who is signing up as an IBO?
When you do not discuss the $400 optional TOP program with a prospect who is signing up as an IBO, they will not know they can receive 3 free months of the IBO Benefits fees (a $150 value). Also, if you sign up a $95 IBO and, later on, they decide to become a Trainer by paying $400 for the optional TOP program, if they become a Certified Trainer (CT), AmeriPlan will deduct the unearned portion of the $90 advance you received from your Quick Start Bonus. You will then be paid "as-earned" on that IBO thereafter.
7. Is there difference in the 18 day "clock" for the Triple Advance Commission and the 28 day "clock" for the Certified Trainer?
The Triple Advance Commission "clock" starts on the day the IBO signs up for the $400 optional TOP program and ends at 5pm CST on the last business day of the 18 day period.
The Certified Trainer (CT) "clock" starts on the day the IBO signs up for the $400 optional TOP program and ends at midnight CST on the 28th day even if that day falls on a weekend or holiday.
8. If I do not qualify for the Triple Advance Commission by signing up 3 new Dental Plus Plans in 18 days, may I re-qualify at another time?
No, a new Trainer has only one opportunity to qualify for the Triple Advance Commission by signing up 3 new Dental Plus plans and be paid advances on them in their first 18 days of being a Trainer.
9. If I do not sign up 3 new members in my first 28 days of being a Trainer, will I be able to become a Certified Trainer (CT) at a later date?
No, a new Trainer must sign up 3 new members in their first 28 days to become a Certified Trainer (CT). However, any Trainer can become a Regional Trainer (RT) by signing up 6 new members and 4 new IBOs no matter if they were a Certified Trainer or not.

Q: How much training and support is offered?
A: Our team is the fastest growing team in Ameriplan today. We attribute that to our exceptional training and support. Our National Vice President works directly with us. Our team leaders work with her to provide the best training website, training material, training conference calls, etc.
We have step-by-step instructions on how to get in to profit mode immediately. This simple, duplicatable system is outlined for you and the leaders are with you every step of the way. The leaders train everyone in the team regardless of who introduces them to Ameriplan.
Q: How much of an investment is it?
A: Ameriplan ships a broker kit to all new team members. This kit usually arrives within 3-4 business days. The kit contains everything to get you started. The cost is $25 and there is a registration fee of $20. This plus a monthly service fee of $50 places the initial investment at under $100. (Total is $95.) The TOPs Program (Trainer Optional Program) is an additional $400 but allows additional bonuses and advances to be paid. Please see our Company & Careers Page for additional information.
The broker kit contains $50 in company credit and the TOPs program Add-On contains an additional $750 in company credit, so they give you back over half of your initial investment. And, since Ameriplan pays daily, the monthly service fee can be taken out of your paycheck.
Q: How much does it cost to do the business?
A: There is a $50 monthly service fee. The first month's fee is due when the application is processed. (This is part of the $95/$495 that was stated earlier.) Going forward, the monthly fee can be taken out of your paycheck.
This fee covers:
* Customer Support - Ameriplan does all the customer service. The corporate offices are open 60 hours a week, including Saturdays, to answer any questions.
* Payments and collection of fees - Ameriplan handles this so you don't have to worry about running credit cards or collecting fees.
* Marketing websites and email accounts- Ameriplan maintains all websites and email accounts. They also host all the servers where the sites are located.
* Benefits - You receive the Dental Plus package which includes dental, vision, prescription and chiropractic benefits for your entire household.
Basically, Ameriplan handles all the 'nitty-gritty' details of your business so you don't have to. This keeps you free to add new business on the books and thus growing your paycheck!
Q: Is there any 'hidden' costs or expenses?
A: No. You can operate your business completely on the monthly service fee provided to Ameriplan. Most new team members work with what they currently have (i.e. a cell phone, dial up internet connection, etc). Once they start receiving checks, many choose to get broadband connection or a dedicated phone line. These items are strictly optional though.
Should I have a separate phone line for the business?
No. A professional out going message on your home line is fine. For example, 'Hi, you've reached the XXX household. No one is available to take your call. Please leave us a brief message and we will get back with you as soon as possible. If this is regarding the Ameriplan benefit packages or becoming a broker with Ameriplan, please leave your name and number and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you."
I have dial-up. Do I need to purchase a faster internet connection?
You do not need a faster internet connection. When enrolling individuals, it is perfectly okay to gather several at a time and then enter them in to the system all at once.
Once you decide to get a faster internet connection, it is a tax write off.
Is there a cost to the Ameriplan websites?
The company websites are included in the monthly service fee. There is a 5th website which was created by our National Vice President and is exclusive to our team. This site is free for 90 days and then optional. The cost is $8.95/month.
Q: How are taxes done?
A: If you've ever heard that a home office is one of the best ways to save money on taxes, they were right!
Ameriplan reports our earnings on a government 1099 form. Save all of your receipts for the year including internet connection fees, ink cartridges for you printer, paper, pens, mileage, stamps, etc. Everything can be written off. So, if you make $50,000 this year with your Ameriplan business, and your receipts total $5,000, you have a gain of $45,000 and that is what taxes are paid on. There is no medical, social security, FUTA, etc. Your earnings are treated as 'additional income' just as interest on a savins account would be considered.

Q: Why would I pay someone to work?
A: You should never pay someone to work for them. If you're talking about a 'job' over the internet, you should never have to pay someone. If you do, it should be considered a scam.
Most businesses that you own have an investment cost. A business is very different than a job on the internet. Here are the differences:
1. You are not paid on a W2 form because you are not an employee. You are paid on a 1099 form as an independent contractor. The 1099 form allows you to itemize expenses on your taxes, thus allowing you to pay less on your taxes. (See Tax Advantages above.)

3. With most businesses, you would have a grand opening, pay someone to create a website for you, need to keep tabs on employees and handle all customer service issues. Q: How do you market your business?
A: There are several ways in which you can advertise your business. You can advertise online or offline. Part of our training is to show you the various ways and work with you on what your comfort level is and how you wish to market. Most of our team members do an internet business.
Your advertising budget is your own. In our training we show you how to do this on a shoe-string budget. Here are some examples:
FREE) You can download fliers for church bulletin boards, work with your warm market, do free neighborhood newsletters, place free ads on the internet, purchase leads from an ad agency, etc. The list goes on and on.
Inexpensive) You can get 250 business cards for $5. Brochures are $.08 each and can be placed in high traffic areas, and inexpensive purchase leads cost $.30-$.50 each.
Expensive) Paying an ad agency to advertise for you, Advertising online with buttons and banners will cost $10-$50 per month or more.
We encourage you to advertise for free or cheaply until your checks start arriving. Once you start seeing a profit, you should reinvest back in to your business and get a dedicated phone line, better leads or ads, etc.

Is there a deductible to be met from any of the health benefits
There are no deductibles, no claim forms to fill out, and no limits on
visits to AmeriPlan® network providers.
Will AmeriPlan Health™ Medical Program (CDHC) have all specialists and ancillary services
We will make every effort to contract with as many specialists and ancillary providers as possible.
Are doctors reimbursed by AmeriPlan® for their services
No. As with all of our health benefits, the provider receives the full
discounted fee from the member at the time services are rendered.
Does this Medical Program (CDHC) coordinate with regular insurance plans
Yes it can, but it is always at the Doctor's discretion to accept both.

Yes. Approved Individual members receive two (2) cards; one AmeriPlan
Health™ (CDHC) ID Card and one Dental Program (DVPC) card.

Are there benefits for emergency services
Yes. Emergency services may or may not be contracted with the Medical Program (CDHC).
Depending on the extent of the charges, these services may be eligible for the Patient Advocacy Benefit.
Can the $30.00 registration fee be waived for groups
Yes. Only with groups of 5 or more. REMINDER: Commissions will be paid as-earned.

Will the provider's staff be adequately trained on the medical plan
Yes.
What is the difference between a limited patient visit, intermediate visit and an extended visit
A limited patient visit is one where the member is seen for a problem
focused visit with minor problems (Physician time 10 mins.), i.e.,
recheck for a cold. An intermediate patient visit is more involved with
low to moderate severity, and will require a longer visit with the
provider, i.e., sore throat. An extended patient visit is where the
member is having a physical examination or consultation for a chronic
illness or consideration for surgery, etc. (Moderate to high severity)
How is Ameriplan® recruiting providers for the medical plan
Through personal referrals, phone and direct marketing.
Will Ameriplan® notify current members of the new medical plan
No. Initial enrolling brokers will need to contact their existing members.
Will maternity be covered
All medical needs are covered as long as we have contracted providers offering this service.
Will the member's privacy be protected
AmeriPlan® is compliant with all HIPPA regulations.
Is it possible to get a service cost prior to treatment to avoid unexpected expenses
No, unless you have been given a treatment plan from your physician
with the medical codes for the treatment procedures.
Will current members of DVPC be automatically upgraded to include medical
No. Existing members will need to submit a new application for AmeriPlan Health™.
Why are the providers being paid 120% or 110% instead just 100% of Medicare fees
Medicare fees are a guideline and fees vary from this amount. This
schedule provides the member with a fair price and the provider with a
fair margin and reasonable incentive.
Does medical include hearing tests and hearing aids
Yes. Hearing Services will be covered under our Ancillary Services providers.
How is the discounted fee calculated
Primary Care Physicians (General Practitioners) and Ancillary Services
receive the 120% of their Medicare regional fees (example Medicare cost
is $100, we pay $120) and Physician Specialists will receive the 130%
of their Medicare regional fees.
Can I purchase the Medical Program (CDHC) without the Dental Program (DVPC) included
Yes, the Medical Program (CDHC) is available without the Dental Program (DVPC).
Is the $30.00 registration fee charged to current DVPC members
Yes. Everyone applying for AmeriPlan Health™ must pay the one-time $30.00 registration fee.
Do members get a discount if they sign up on an annual renewal
Yes, there is a 20% discount on all annual renewals.
Is there a waiting period for new members
No. Members can use the program as soon as they receive their membership cards.
If an applicant cannot be reached for verification, can the applicant call AmeriPlan®
Yes. If the applicant can not be contacted, the enrolling Broker will

How does the Hospital Advocacy Program work

Once the completed forms are received by the Patient Advocacy Program,
it will take up to 2 days for the member to be contacted.
Does the member have a choice of which hospital will be used
Yes. The Patient Advocate will negotiate with any hospital of the members choice.
How much discount do members get on dental fees
Members can save 20% - 65% on all restorative and cosmetic work
(fillings, crowns, braces, etc.) and up to 80% on preventative work
(teeth cleaning, x-rays, etc.) performed by a general dentist.
Specialist fees are discounted 15 - 25%.
How much is the Dental Program (DVPC) membership fee

My Ameriplan Convention Experience....
I went to the Ameriplan convention this year for the first time and it was the most AMAZING experience of my life! I met some of the most inspiring people in my life as well! I also met people who I have talked with for over a year and it was soo cool cause it didnt feel awkward at all. It felt like we have been best friends forever!! THAT I thought was AWESOME!! I got to learn some amazing stuff to use in my business that will take me ALL the way to the TOP!! I will FOREVER remember everything that I heard while I was there. I also got to hear some amazing stories of our top income earners. And I got to see that they started out just the same as I have and some even worse off and it only took them a few short years to turn that around completely to a 6 figure income!! I can see now how much closer my dreams and goals are and that they arent as far fetched as I thought. They are MUCH, MUCH closer than we all realize and now I can see how close they REALLY are :0) I think EVERYONE should go to a convention any chance they get because it is ABSOLUTELY a life changing experience. And they will see their goals and dreams coming true right in front of them. I remember while I was there and hearing all of the magnificent things I was hearing and how I immediately started thinking about how I can put it to use in my business and what I needed to do to reach my goals. And also how my goals suddenly changed and they all moved up a notch because I saw how close they REALLY are and the goals that I had for myself before were farther off than they needed to be. So I have moved them all up and I am working full force to make them ALL happen as soon as possible!!! And I KNOW they will all be achieved!! Learning what I have learned, and seeing what I have seen at convention, I dont see ANY reason for anyone to ever quit!! They have it right here in the palm of their hand and they just dont realize it!! You know how everyone says "just take my word for it"... well "Just take my word for it!! Its all right here!! My Journey With Ameriplan!
I got to thinking last night about my journey with Ameriplan. And I wanted to tell you what my thoughts were :0)...Every time I start to think about where I was when I started and how far I have come and where I see myself going, I get a big smile on my face and tears in my eyes! I was definitely feeling the LOVE yesterday when I was reading all of my Congratulations from everyone. EVERYONE in this company is SOOO Amazing too. I can't believe the kind of team work and love and support everyone has for each other. The more I think about it, the more I LOVE what we are doing and who we are all becoming Every single day!! I feel as if I am on top of the world and it is only gonna get better- which actually seems like it isnt possible because of how strongly I feel already - but I know it will :0).... I cant believe how everything is all coming together and it is so amazing to me how much I have grown and learned. I never would have imagined that reading a simple book would make all the difference in the world...lol I was never much of a reader.. but since I have read 1 personal development book I cant seem to put them down now..lol I have read a few and am definitely gonna keep reading :0). I also never imagined my dreams would start to come true. They are MUCH closer than I have ever dreamed and I feel that I have them in my hand and that there is NO WAY in the world that they can escape me now~ and the thought of that gives me an overwhelming feeling of joy and brings tears of JOY to my eyes!! I am crying as I write this because I have never felt so happy!!... I have SOOOO many more plans and dreams now than ever before because I KNOW I can make them happen, its just a matter of time.... but not too much time... I hope this will help you go for what you want and not let anything stand in the way of you and your dreams!!

OMG, OMG, OMG!!! WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!! I FINALLY made it!! I can not believe I did it!! I am SOOOOO excited to be Senior Regional Sales Director!! This has been quite the journey and I loved every minute of... The more I work with this AMAZING company the more I realize that my dreams ARE gonna be a reality VERY SOON!! I never imagined they could be REAL.. I always thought, they were just that.. a dream.. WELL NOT ANY MORE!!! They are in my grasp and they will NOT get away from me now :o)!! I am SOOO glad I took that leap of faith last March to work with Ameriplan and to make a difference in my families life! I was a little scared at first but I was tired of the way things were and I knew nothing would change if I kept doing what I was doing. So I am Proud to still be here a little over a year later and see ALL of the changes that have happened to me and my family. My life feels SO much happier now. My husband doesnt HAVE to work such long hours anymore and I have been working on alot of personal growth too. My outlook on life is MUCH different than what it used to be and I KNOW it is making all the difference in the world!! I am thankful for all of the book suggestions and audios that are given to us to help all of us grow!! I have LOTS of thanks to give for getting this far..But this is only a temporary stop because I am going all the way to the TOP!!!
