Q: How much training and support is offered?
A: Our team is the fastest growing team in Ameriplan today. We attribute that to our exceptional training and support. Our National Vice President works directly with us. Our team leaders work with her to provide the best training website, training material, training conference calls, etc.
We have step-by-step instructions on how to get in to profit mode immediately. This simple, duplicatable system is outlined for you and the leaders are with you every step of the way. The leaders train everyone in the team regardless of who introduces them to Ameriplan.
Q: How much of an investment is it?
A: Ameriplan ships a broker kit to all new team members. This kit usually arrives within 3-4 business days. The kit contains everything to get you started. The cost is $25 and there is a registration fee of $20. This plus a monthly service fee of $50 places the initial investment at under $100. (Total is $95.) The TOPs Program (Trainer Optional Program) is an additional $400 but allows additional bonuses and advances to be paid. Please see our Company & Careers Page for additional information.
The broker kit contains $50 in company credit and the TOPs program Add-On contains an additional $750 in company credit, so they give you back over half of your initial investment. And, since Ameriplan pays daily, the monthly service fee can be taken out of your paycheck.
Q: How much does it cost to do the business?
A: There is a $50 monthly service fee. The first month's fee is due when the application is processed. (This is part of the $95/$495 that was stated earlier.) Going forward, the monthly fee can be taken out of your paycheck.
This fee covers:
* Customer Support - Ameriplan does all the customer service. The corporate offices are open 60 hours a week, including Saturdays, to answer any questions.
* Payments and collection of fees - Ameriplan handles this so you don't have to worry about running credit cards or collecting fees.
* Marketing websites and email accounts- Ameriplan maintains all websites and email accounts. They also host all the servers where the sites are located.
* Benefits - You receive the Dental Plus package which includes dental, vision, prescription and chiropractic benefits for your entire household.
Basically, Ameriplan handles all the 'nitty-gritty' details of your business so you don't have to. This keeps you free to add new business on the books and thus growing your paycheck!
Q: Is there any 'hidden' costs or expenses?
A: No. You can operate your business completely on the monthly service fee provided to Ameriplan. Most new team members work with what they currently have (i.e. a cell phone, dial up internet connection, etc). Once they start receiving checks, many choose to get broadband connection or a dedicated phone line. These items are strictly optional though.
Should I have a separate phone line for the business?
No. A professional out going message on your home line is fine. For example, 'Hi, you've reached the XXX household. No one is available to take your call. Please leave us a brief message and we will get back with you as soon as possible. If this is regarding the Ameriplan benefit packages or becoming a broker with Ameriplan, please leave your name and number and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you."
I have dial-up. Do I need to purchase a faster internet connection?
You do not need a faster internet connection. When enrolling individuals, it is perfectly okay to gather several at a time and then enter them in to the system all at once.
Once you decide to get a faster internet connection, it is a tax write off.
Is there a cost to the Ameriplan websites?
The company websites are included in the monthly service fee. There is a 5th website which was created by our National Vice President and is exclusive to our team. This site is free for 90 days and then optional. The cost is $8.95/month.
Q: How are taxes done?
A: If you've ever heard that a home office is one of the best ways to save money on taxes, they were right!
Ameriplan reports our earnings on a government 1099 form. Save all of your receipts for the year including internet connection fees, ink cartridges for you printer, paper, pens, mileage, stamps, etc. Everything can be written off. So, if you make $50,000 this year with your Ameriplan business, and your receipts total $5,000, you have a gain of $45,000 and that is what taxes are paid on. There is no medical, social security, FUTA, etc. Your earnings are treated as 'additional income' just as interest on a savins account would be considered.

Q: Why would I pay someone to work?
A: You should never pay someone to work for them. If you're talking about a 'job' over the internet, you should never have to pay someone. If you do, it should be considered a scam.
Most businesses that you own have an investment cost. A business is very different than a job on the internet. Here are the differences:
1. You are not paid on a W2 form because you are not an employee. You are paid on a 1099 form as an independent contractor. The 1099 form allows you to itemize expenses on your taxes, thus allowing you to pay less on your taxes. (See Tax Advantages above.)
2. You actually own your business. You can will it to your spouse or children...it is something that you own.
3. With most businesses, you would have a grand opening, pay someone to create a website for you, need to keep tabs on employees and handle all customer service issues. With Ameriplan, all of this is done for you. Ameriplan is 15 years old and has an established name. The health care industry is in peril in this country and Ameriplan has a solution that is affordable to everyone. Timing is right!
Q: How do you market your business?
A: There are several ways in which you can advertise your business. You can advertise online or offline. Part of our training is to show you the various ways and work with you on what your comfort level is and how you wish to market. Most of our team members do an internet business.
Your advertising budget is your own. In our training we show you how to do this on a shoe-string budget. Here are some examples:
FREE) You can download fliers for church bulletin boards, work with your warm market, do free neighborhood newsletters, place free ads on the internet, purchase leads from an ad agency, etc. The list goes on and on.
Inexpensive) You can get 250 business cards for $5. Brochures are $.08 each and can be placed in high traffic areas, and inexpensive purchase leads cost $.30-$.50 each.
Expensive) Paying an ad agency to advertise for you, Advertising online with buttons and banners will cost $10-$50 per month or more.
We encourage you to advertise for free or cheaply until your checks start arriving. Once you start seeing a profit, you should reinvest back in to your business and get a dedicated phone line, better leads or ads, etc.

A: No. Your business is month-by-month. You can quit at any time by submitting in writing (FAX, email or a letter) stating that you would like to quit.
